MRTD has partnered with local municipalities for our exciting Go Local program. This program offers riders HALF PRICED RIDES within participating city limits! For example, if a ride originates inside of Steeleville’s city limits, and ends inside Steeleville’s city limits, that ride is half price.
Half-priced $3 rides are available in these municipalities:
We now have routes that can take you into St. Clair County! They start in Monroe and Randolph Counties, and head up to the Greenmount corridor, accessing lots of shopping, dining, schooling and medical resources. These routes give easy access to places like Eckert’s, SWIC, new Memorial & St. Elizabeth’s Hospitals. If you need to go elsewhere while you’re in St. Clair County, their public transit system (SCCTD) offers many options accessible from our stops on Greenmount Road.
These routes have specific time frames that we will hit each stop. To use this service, it is best to schedule in advance by calling our office, but you can also show up at one of the stops within the correct time frame to catch a ride. See the full schedule and maps for more details and to plan your trip. Maps and Schedules. …..$10 round trip
MRTD offers a curb-to-curb, on demand service. Curb-to-curb means that we will pick you up at any address you specify, and then drop you off at another address you specify, as long as they are in our service area. So, that means we can pick you up at home and take you to the grocery store. Or we can pick you up at work and take you to meet your friend for lunch at a local restaurant. From home to the bank, to the doctor, or a friend’s house. We can take ANYONE, ANYWHERE, for ANY REASON in our service area. Chester to Columbia, Steeleville to Valmeyer or maybe Waterloo to Sparta. If it starts or finishes in Monroe or Randolph Counties we can handle it.
These trips are $6 each way.
When you’re ready to go, just call us to schedule your ride!
