On July 12, 2024 Monroe Randolph Transit District (MRTD) was able to get a rider from Chester IL. back home to Chicago. MRTD took the rider from Chester IL. to Steeleville IL. At Steeleville the rider was able to interconnect with South Central Transit (SCT). SCT took the rider to Duquoin near the Amtrak station. From there the rider boarded on the Amtrak train and rode it all the way to Chicago. This is just another example of why I always say give MRTD a call and see if we can help with your transportation needs. You just never know what cool thing we are going to do next.
